WHAT NOW BELIEVERS

November 7, 2026

This week we had our midterm election in America, and many people called it a tsunami for the Democratic Party, which won both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

In both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party, believers prayed for their party to win because of the ideology to which their parties ascribe. Now that the election is over, it is my prayer that, despite one’s party affiliation, we will unite in our prayers for our government officials, our nation and world.

For those of us who understand the time in which we live and have been listening to the prophecies of things to come, we know that more than ever, it is time for believers to draw nigh to God. Those now in charge will run into difficulties that will require Divine intervention for things to have any degree of success. Their agenda, which they wanted to promote, will be halted, the exhilaration of winning will be lost, and despair will replace hope for many. How believers respond will be paramount.

As this week progressed, I am happy to report that key religious leaders of each party encouraged their constituents to pray. They understand that in the future, as times become more challenging, we will need to follow the instructions that God gave in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.“ Our land needs healing, and it will only be realized if we follow the instructions.
