GUIDELINES FOR HEALING
Many of us have experienced an illness from which we have prayed to be healed. Also, some of you reading this blog may have been diagnosed with an incurable or terminal disease. In either case, besides having fellow believers pray for our healing, there are some guidelines for healing that you can find in the Word that should be practiced.
First and foremost is believing that you can be healed. Jesus said in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” And Hebrews 11:6 states, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” These verses tell us our belief in God’s ability to do and respond to our requests is paramount to our receiving. Simply put, “To receive, we must believe.”
Secondly, we should adhere to the wisdom guidelines shared by King Solomon in Proverbs 4:20-22. He said, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
We must pay attention and listen diligently to the Word for success. We must commit to reading, meditating, and reciting the Word. We must retain the Word in our innermost heart and mind. This Word must be sought after, and the results of the work that is done will be restoration and healing to your body.
In closing, I am including below healing scriptures for you to read, meditate on, and recite continually. May God richly bless you and heal you as you follow the guidelines.
