YOUR ENEMIES’ BEST INFORMANT
I have found that we blame the devil for most of the bad things that happen in our lives, and we give him undeserving credit. We forget Satan is a created being; he is not omnipresent, omniscient, or omnipotent. Satan has his headquarters, and he rules from that place. He has angels and demons that do his bidding, and some of them are assigned to you.
These angels and demons can cause things to happen in your life, but their best informant on the success of their plans is you. Your conversation and actions inform the evil spirits whether their strategy is effective. Your conversation and actions give fuel to evil spirits. They watch you closely and pay attention to your words. They delight in hearing you speak, particularly when it is to their advantage. Thus, we must be on the alert and apply the following scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 4:11a And that ye study to be quiet. (Learn when to talk and what to say when you talk. And if you have difficulty doing this, pray and ask God for help and guidance).
Ephesian 4:27a, 29a Neither give place to the devil. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth but that which is good to the use of edifying. (When you talk be mindful of what you are saying).
1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. (When in difficulty, start praying in your unknown language).
Romans 8:26 – 28 And in the same way—by our faith[e]—the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don’t even know what we should pray for nor how to pray as we should, but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows, of course, what the Spirit is saying as he pleads for us in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans. (For this scripture I used the Living Bible because I believe it needs no explanation).
If you diligently follow these scriptures, you will not be your enemies’ best informant.
